Before time began, there was one true power, the power of love, the power of balance and the power of hate. Those three key’s worked together to create the first living being, the first live.. the one who has long forgotten his real name. For so long he watched over the universe as many different life forms grew. There was many who lived the life of love. Searching the worlds for that one person someone to call their own, someone to live for.. to die for.

Then there was some who lived a life of hate, darkness; they only seek to hurt others and bring pain to those around them. Last there was those who looked for something more… something beyond their own lives. To understand the meaning of what life was, what was love? What was it to hate? Why.. questions.. the path of true balance. In was threw this that the legend of the great Triforce came form. The many people of the great and ever growing galaxy searched for answers to the true behind gods great power. They called his “god” kami, meaning “God who rules over Heaven and Hell”.

For many generations seeks came, people searched but no one could find gods power and many started to doubt there even was such a power beyond the heavens. That was until a great evil was born. It was said that this great evil came as the true and only balance against gods might. This great god of darkness was known as the Dragon King, the Dragon of Darkness. He seeks only to destroy and make all suffer.

Threw his might and will to destroy, his love and balance of understand of how the 12 elements of magic worked nearly brought and end to all life in the known universe. It was in this moment that something special happen, threw the gift of god a child was born. The mother of this child knew not of who the father was and only looked at this child as a gift form god himself. In his image, she named this child Kami-sma Will Xanatu, his middle name was after her father who died when she was a small child. The boy grew up to become a great man and threw his unknown power and means he searched the universe and put light and hope into people’s lives.

Kami-sma or as many called him Kami or the Son of God, travel the universe helping those, giving and letting the good people know that even know the light was so dim and that the darkness was so grand that if they believed in their selves, the light would never fail. As the light was the darkness and with out one you can not have the other. It was said on his 25th birthday he finally came face to face with the threat of the universe, the Dragon King himself. Having never raise his hands in combat, never fighting many believed that their savers, the gift from the heavens would be killed.

But as like all the gifts this young man gave, he some how was able to defeat the Dragon King in a game of chance, showing that brains where far greater then strength and that true power came form ones love of themselves and power within, then any magic out there could ever give. For that was the greatest magic of them all. The Dragon King was so angry that he cursed the young man to live forever and see how cruel life could be. With his dying wish the Dragon King was lay in a stone of power, high above the pillar of the shadows where he would forever lay until the seeker came to release him. Watching over him was the north star and the half moon high in the night sky.

Very proud of the power, balance and understanding of things the God at last made himself known to the people. In this Kami asked God if he could break himself into 12 as he believed 12 was a good way to balance out the great power of living forever that he now had. He believed that no one man should be allowed to hold such great power and that he knew one day, someone would need such power to defeat a great evil once again. Asking God to forever seal his soul and spirit into a object called SaiDai, something his mother made for him when he was just a small boy. He asked that such power be given once every 10 generations to one chosen to protect life itself.

God, asked him what would become of such a title to a being and he answer simple, Kiva and that Kiva’s mission in life would be to protect life and all that was good. God was so very happy with his request he granted his wish by taking his soul and spirit and placing it into SaiDai, sending the great device to an unknown location in the shadow world. There it would be forever watched by the keepers of Shadow World, The Shadow Masters.

Threw the will of his request the 12 keepers to the key of Kiva was born. Each of them took a apart of who Kami was, the good man he was and even the darkness that all men held in their hearts. They would be the keeper to the Dragon Kings power and darkness, to forever watch over him. They became known as the 12 Dragon Lords.

So as it was, Kami-sma could no longer maintain his body and would now pass on and die form this world. His last wish to the good people would be to live life to its fullest and that if they ever needed him again that he would rise once again in the form of a young boy and he hoped that such a day would never come as it would mean the return of the Dragon King.

“My good people.. do not cry for my death is not the end, as threw the teachings I will live forever in your hearts. Do not forget that just because my tale as come to an end, doesn’t mean the story is over. For such as one tale ends another begins…” was his last words.

The Dragon Lords believed that no such power could be kept in one place and each of them having just met gave part for each took a part of the universe with them and created the 12 universes, each with its own rules and stories to be told. Each would rise to their greatest hero and greatest villains. To keep them apart the 12 Dragon Lords forge the Tempest Key and used it by the will of the Shadow Masters to open the Gate of no Gate, which would allow one to travel threw time and space itself.

Once the gate was closed it would never be opened again for if such a thing happen the 12 universes would merge together destroying everything. High above the Shadow World the Shadow Masters went to work filling these worlds with new life in the hopes to create them in the image of god.. or so they believed.
